Fair warning, joining ILAW is BAD for your sec status, but amazing for making Eve fun!
Good people, good allies, good wartargets. All in all, some of the most fun you can have in Eve! |

For my $15/month, FW is the most fun you can have in this game.
Really, I think this is rapidly becoming the best feature in Eve. Sure, it may not be for everyone, and some may prefer the more group oriented null-sec, or the more solo oriented high sec, but FW low-sec offers the best of both.
There is plenty of opportunity for the lone-wolf pilot to get fights, to earn ISK, and to explore space. If that is the way you want to go, the sky is the limit. This also means that a casual player can make a real impact on the war zone. It doesn't take a huge alliance with rigid doctrines and CTAs. It can be done by a solo player with enough will.
That said, there is an amazing community growing in FW. If you are a pilot that thrives on cooperation and team-play, there is a ton of that as well. It is very different than the power-blocks of null, mainly because it is smaller, and still holds a home for the solo pilot, but the small fleet combat in FW is amazing, and with the plex mechanics driving the meta, this is the place for new pilots to shine. You don't have to be in a t2 fit battlecruiser to impact a fight, a T1 frig can be more useful at times!
The warzone matters, and you fell like your little push can make a big difference for other pilots. However, if you are a casual player, you know that win or lose, you can still enjoy the game, so there isn't guilt for being less active. The stakes are high, but not as high as null sec, and even the losing side has a chance to have fun.
If this sounds like something you would like, check out ILAW. IMHO we have the best of it. Good corpmates, good leadership, good friends, good enemies, and a lot of fun. We are friendly for new and experienced pilots, with a laid back attitude. We are known and respected in the warzone, not only by our friends and allies, but by our enemies as well.
